Biologist, Environmental Technician, Monitor 

We are looking for the right candidate, someone who fits with our team, our outlook, and our values, and  will train the right person. Ideally, you will be registered with the College of Applied Biology as an RPBio,  BIT, RBTech, or ABT, or be eligible for registration.  

We hope that you enjoy the outdoors, and working in all terrain and weather conditions.  We expect a collaborative attitude and a culture of respect with a focus on teamwork and client  relationships.  

We will require a valid BC driver’s license, many of our job sites are not transit accessible. 

THE WORK 

The day to day work will depend on the level of experience of the successful candidate. We  would love to find an experienced RPBio who can hit the ground running and take over some  projects, but we are also happy to mentor less experienced candidates, who will be able to  learn a broad range of skills in this industry.  

What you’ll be doing may include: 

  • Coordinating permits, licences, approvals, and data submissions 
  • Environmental monitoring of construction projects 
  • Fish and wildlife salvages and surveys, including species at risk 
  • Aquatic, riparian, and terrestrial habitat assessments and inventories 
  • Water quality monitoring 
  • Development of environmental management and protection plans 
  • Data collection, interpretation, and reporting 
  • Many other duties!

Titus Biological Services Inc. is a small company based in the Lower Mainland that typically services the  area from Hope to Pemberton, with most of our work in Metro Vancouver. We specialize in freshwater  and riparian systems, environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring and management,  and habitat restoration. We are a friendly and hands-on team with great clients.
